I must start by saying THANKS to everyone who has been supporting and cheering for me and the team, it has made this crazy awesome experience truly amazing!

The last race came and went in a flash, it was very different this time, I wasn't nervous at all... just woke up with sweaty palms, butterflies in my stomach and the sinking sensation that I had to go fast that day! Ok,so maybe a little nervous, but more excited really!

We had a good warm up, and we did everything exactly the same as the race on Monday... we paddled up to the start line and before I knew it we were racing...

This is how the race went. We started really hard and fast, then after 30 strokes, went a little harder, then at the 250m Jen called the HUP and we went a little harder and then we went harder to the finish line! So in a nut shell, we went really hard...

We were very happy with our race, the ultimate goal was to come top 6. The Japanese beat us by a FRACTION of a fraction, but we were happy. Well done girls, we rock!

We have come a very long way as a team, but what I have realised about life is that you are never satisfied...Human nature is to always want more, so when you achieve your first goal that you thougth was impossible, you VERY quickly forget how impossible it used to be and suddenly you want that, and more... finally when you get to the goal of all goals, you achieve it and guess what you want more...

SO LIFE LESSON for the day is this... BE satisfied with what you have achieved and what you are achieving, celebrate the small things and stop wishing to be someone or somewhere else. LIVE IN THE now and take as much as you can out of today!

So on this lazy Sunday morning, I want to thank EVERYONE for their support! Especially all my family and friends who listened to me moan about how tough all of this was! I hope I can return the support and love soon!

(A special mention must go to Muizenberg Junior School who have been super supportive... I really appreciate all your emails, cheering and support!)

See you on the beach!
